Res City in-person, outdoor, small group get-togethers will take place each week on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm.

In the interest of maintaining the safety and health of this community and our personal communities, Res City will be implementing COVID-safe practices at our upcoming gatherings. We know how important community and connection are for wellness during such an uncertain time as this pandemic and these policies are being implemented with the goal of preserving our ability to continue to meet together as the community health landscape shifts around us.

As such:

-Wearing a mask over your nose and mouth is essential to us continuing our in-person gatherings. We will follow this policy for all gatherings regardless if they are outdoors or indoors. But if you happen to forget yours, please don't worry! We can provide one for you.

-Food will not feature in upcoming meetings for the foreseeable future. Last week's meet, eat, and greet was a great time, but the necessity to remove masks for extended periods of time to eat creates a vulnerability that we'd rather not risk. Please limit drinking and eating snacks to ensure that you're not spending large sections of the meeting without your mask.

-Please use your best discretion before going in for a hug even with another masked, vaccinated individual. We can't implement strict social distancing because of the logistics of having an outdoor gathering where everyone can still hear each other, but for the sake of safety, please be mindful of how much contact others may or may not be comfortable with.

-Self-monitoring is essential. Please stay home if you're feeling ill, even if you're vaccinated. Breakthrough cases are on the rise as the Delta Variant continues to spread.

You may have noticed that these are basically airplane rules that we're using! That's precisely right. The best rule of thumb to consider is whether an action would be permitted on a plane. We also want to emphasize that these guidelines are not a response to anyone's actions last week at the Thursday meeting but just a cold, hard look at the numbers and consideration of our values to keep each other safe. We're all looking forward to the end of the pandemic and hoping to do our part as much as we can to limit its impact in the interim.

We can't wait to see you Thursday evening!
