Tia is our Social Justice Team Lead! She is a DC transplant, a current clinical psychology doctoral student, and a lover of all things sweet. Before moving to DC, she lived in Durham, NC and started Dinners & Discussions, a monthly gathering to bring together community and church members to discuss social justice and racial reconciliation. She is a passionate advocate for racial equity, restorative justice for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors, and accessible care for people struggling with self-injurious thoughts and behaviors. In her free time, she loves to dance, hike, go to concerts, and care for her plant babies. Her favorite bible verse is "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted; but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed" 2 Corinthians 4:8-9.
